Our guides bring your trip to life

A Boundless Journeys guide is at once knowledgeable, organized, motivating, safety conscious, and most importantly, fun to be with. We work with expert guides local to the areas in which we travel, and they are the key to unlocking the hidden delights of your chosen destination. Although you will never know they are at work – the mark of a truly great guide – they can make magical things happen. From introductions to the musical locals in an out-of-the-way Irish pub on the Dingle Peninsula, to knowing just where to spot the elusive Resplendent Quetzal in Costa Rica, our guides add a dimension to your trip that you could not experience alone.

Don't just take our word for it, read what some of our past guests have said:

"I had very high expectations for my Peru trekking trip, and not only were they met, but they were exceeded. Logistically everything was flawless. The biggest factor to the overall experience was our guide -- Juan Carlos. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything from the Incan times to modern Andean life, but also about plants, animals, astronomy, (he showed us constellations at night!), and so many other things. On top of this, he was fun, energetic, encouraging, diplomatic, professional, always organized and on time; 100% reliable in all ways. We could not imagine a better guide!"
- Susan Felter, Peru Trek Traveler

"Wow, what a trip we all had! It was wonderful. I think that I have told everyone how much fun it was. Every detail was very well planned and executed perfectly. The guides were the best. Brenda was by far the very best and knowledgeable guide I have ever had. She was truly remarkable in her knowledge of nature and her ability to sense the group. The connections with these types of people will get you far!"
- Jane Schwartz, Canadian Rockies Traveler

“Our trip was outstanding ... one we will always remember. It was a fun group, the crew was extra special and our guide Roberto Plaza was the best!”
- Ben Stern, Galapagos Islands Traveler

"I have never had better guides on any trip, EVER!! Many tour companies can show you the various Inca ruins. With Boundless Journeys, we also saw and learned about Peruvian culture in a very engaging manner."
- Rich Gleitsmann, Peru Classic Traveler

"I want to tell you that the trip was everything we hoped...beautifully planned and even better than your advertisements! Nicky herself is an absolute jewel! She is simply amazing in her knowledge of the natural world, as a tour leader and as a group leader. She is simply superb in every way! One of the most memorable human beings I have ever met. Eloise feels the same way as do all the members of our group!
- Gerald Gehr, New Zealand Traveler

"Our guide, Charles was excellent! I really enjoyed spending time with him. He really knew his area and his mini-lectures were intersting and fun. I felt he was genuinely interested in our comfort, enjoyment of the trip and our excitement at seeing and learning about a new country. Hes was terrific!"
- Paul Risner, Chile: The Lake District and Patagonia Traveler
