Tyrol is a region known for its colorful folk customs, its splendid mountain wonderland, and the genuine hospitality of the Austrian people that will have you coming back for more.
Trip Overview
Days 1-3: Meet in Innsbruck and transfer to the village of Alpbach. Alpbach’s rural beauty and quiet location have contributed to its being named “the most beautiful village in Austria.” Explore this picturesque village with its flower-covered chalets and hike into the Kitzbuhler Alps. Alpbach offers hikers a wide range of trails in the idyllic, picture-postcard landscape of the Alpbachtal. Our charming hotel provides a warm reception at day’s end.
Days 4-6: Wind through villages of
old-world charm on the way to Neustift, perched between high mountain peaks. From the village of Neustift, hike through valleys amid the most spectacular mountain scenery in Austria. Hike to a traditional alpine hut, where we will be greeted with
a warm Austrian welcome and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hikers. Enjoy lively meals at rustic restaurants featuring local culinary specialties, and retire to our elegant accommodations in the evenings.
Day 7: Return to Innsbruck and say auf wiedersehen.
