Our Iceland Hiking Tours
For an island of its size, Iceland is packed with a staggering array of dramatic natural wonders. Volcanoes cook at a slow boil here, heating up thermal springs and churning out lava flows that cool into gray flats. Glaciers shimmy through vast valleys while their calved icebergs bob and float in expansive bays. Little wonder Iceland goes by the moniker “Land of Fire and Ice.” This ever-evolving landscape – and the ever-adapting people and culture who thrive here – beg to be discovered.
For its geologic and austere beauty, Boundless Journeys’ Iceland adventure is one of our favorites. We don’t want you to miss one a thing – the vast tundra, the lagoons – so you’ll pull on your walking boots for an up-close hiking expedition. Magnificent views of soaring peaks, lava fields, and mammoth glaciers mark our progress. Between treks, kick your feet up for an amphibious boat ride through an iceberg field, a visit to an ancient Viking parliament, a glacier exploration, and soothing soaks in thermal waters.

"This was an exceptional journey. Turkey has such an ancient history that is there to observe. The trip made the most of our time, was very efficiently planned, led by an exceptional guide. We visited so many ancient sites, observing layers of history going back to 12,000 BC, at the same time engaging the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea."
