Reserve early! Our tours often fill months in advance, and our maximum group size is smaller than most tour operators’. For immediate confirmation of your trip, call our office directly at 1-800-941-8010 and charge your initial deposit to your credit card. You may also request a reservation online. We will confirm your reservation within one business day of receiving your application.
Upon receipt of your deposit, we will mail your confirmation letter, detailed trip planner (including packing suggestions, useful destination information, and a suggested reading list), and insurance information.

*Payment schedules for cruises, safaris, private departures, and certain special events vary. Group private departures require a non-refundable group deposit of $500 to confirm the arrangements once an itinerary has been agreed upon. Other exceptions are clearly indicated in the detailed itineraries for each of these trips.
All payments may be made by check or credit card. Prices are in US dollars and all payments must be made in US dollars. Prices may be subject to change prior to confirming a reservation.
Accommodations (hotels, tents, cruise cabins) are based on double occupancy. A single supplement is paid by participants who specifically request single accommodations, subject to availability. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will try to match you with a roommate of the same gender. If you reserve at least 90 days ahead and a roommate is not available, you will only be charged a “forced” single supplement in the amount of 50% of the standard single supplement (unless otherwise noted in the detailed itinerary). Single accommodations are limited so you are encouraged to reserve early!
Cancellations & Refunds
If you need to cancel your trip, you should call Boundless Journeys or your travel agent immediately; and then send notification in writing by e-mail, fax, or mail. Certain fees will apply, calculated as of the date Boundless Journeys receives written notice of cancellation.

You may transfer to another trip that is within the same calendar year without penalty by notifying us of your wish to transfer 90 days or more prior to departure. After that time our normal cancellation fees apply.
In the rare event that Boundless Journeys must cancel a tour, all trip members will be notified a minimum of 45 days before the trip departs and will receive a full refund of payments made to Boundless Journeys. Boundless Journeys reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, including insufficient tour enrollment. Boundless Journeys is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a canceled tour, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. We encourage you to contact our office prior to purchasing your airline tickets to check the status of your tour.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance from the application we enclose with your trip planning materials or through you travel agent. This can help prevent needless loss in case of serious illness, accident, or death of the passenger, passenger’s immediate family, or traveling companion.
What Your Trip Includes
The land cost for a typical trip includes the following:
- Expert leadership
- Accommodations during your tour
- All or most meals
- All activities as noted in the itinerary and the necessary equipment for such activities
- Ground transportation and support vehicles
- Luggage transport
- Entrance fees and permits
- Gratuities for meals, porters and hotel service
Each trip varies slightly, though, so speak with our travel experts or ask for a detailed itinerary for the specifics. Travel to and from the tour meeting/departure points, pre- and post-tour accommodations and meals, optional activities, optional gratuities for your guide(s), and personal items are not included.
