Even when working here in our home office in beautiful Stowe, Vermont, we love nothing more than helping our curious and discerning clients realize the travel adventures of their dreams, from hiking in the Himalayas to venturing into Africa’s wild places on a safari. Our office is busy, with ongoing coordination of tours to more than 30 countries world-wide, producing compelling printed and online materials to assist our clients with choosing their next travel adventure, and communicating with our guests, guides, and partners all around the globe.

CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS:

Marketing Assistant:

Boundless Journeys seeks a part-time marketing assistant. The ideal applicant has a love of outdoor adventure, travel, and customer engagement.

General responsibilities:

– Copywriting, graphic design, proofreading, and editing for weekly marketing emails, website, blog, marketing materials, and trip itineraries
– Pitching to journalist/travel writer queries
– Troubleshooting website and CMS issues and liaise with support representatives
– General InDesign/web/CMS support for Trip Managers
– Managing all aspects of the integration between the CMS and the website, including web forms, email sign-up, trip pages, etc.
– Act as project manager on the annual catalog, coordinating with the owner, trip managers, and the professional designer
– Maintain social media presence with engaging and timely captions and visuals
– Keep tabs on email metrics and adjust as needed
– Keep abreast of international news and events as they may pertain/impact Boundless Journeys trips and marketing messaging
– Answer calls and emails from guests and prospects, relay trip information, answer questions, and/or refer to trip manager

Important qualities:

Have a passion for travel, interacting with other cultures, and active, outdoor adventure
– Able to work mostly autonomously once trained
– Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Excellent proofreading/editing/grammar ability
– Have an eye for detail for consistency across platforms and materials
– Friendly phone manner
– Sales experience preferred
– Experience with InDesign or Quark required
– Experience with customer management software/databases preferred
– Experience manipulating excel sheets preferred
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Excellent general tech skills (we use WordPress, Zapier, Hootsuite, MailChimp, Google apps, photo editing, link shorteners, map graphics, basic html, embedding slideshows/videos, simple video editing, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook)
– Experience with google and social media analytics helpful
– Have a proactive, team-based mindset
