The Baja Califonia Sur Peninsula has been dubbed a “mini-Galapagos” for the biodiversity found on the islands and shores of the Sea of Cortez and within the Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve. And the best way to observe the incredible flora and fauna is on foot and by heading out onto and into the water. From hiking in the desert mountains of the peninsula’s narrow interior to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Isla Espiritu Santo set in the turquoise waters where we enjoy a variety of water-based wildlife explorations, we have plenty of time to enjoy the nature all around us.
